The goal is to control the weight on the way down, then explode with power on the way up. 💥 Negative eccentric overload trains your muscles to handle more force during the lowering phase, helping build strength and improve explosive power when it’s time to move. Control first, power second.

good examples of how to train a concept known as anti-rotation.

Golf is obviously a rotational sport… The muscles of the obliques, multifidus and other deep local stabilizers of the spine work more to control spinal motion rather than to create it. When we’re talking about training core it’s a better idea to do exercises that resist motion of the spine and focus on exercises that create rotation of the hips.

I have been working with Ken and his team at Lifetime Performance for a little over three years, and I can’t say enough about them personally and their approach towards training. Ken’s comprehensive assessments help create a workout plan tailored to your needs and goals to help make you an all around athlete. He always wants to make sure you’re feeling good and is open to modifying, as needed. More recently, Ken and his team have helped me recover from four major knee surgeries and have gotten me back out on the course playing and practicing. The overall environment of the gym makes you excited to come workout as both the staff and other clients are encouraging, engaging, and invested in your journey. I have seen so much improvement in my body and golf game as a result of working out at Lifetime Performance.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ken Mcdonald and his staff are the best golf trainers i have experienced. Ken and Jason as well as the other trainers are extremely well educated and up to date on fitness training. They begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your entire body to determine where you are flexible and strong and where you are not and then develop an individual program to improve your golf game or any sport you participate in. In addition they understand the mechanics and fundamentals of the golf swing and how to make you a better and more consistent player. The facility is clean, spacious and has everything one needs for fitness training. Most importantly they want to see you improve and have the knowledge and experience to make it happen.

I am a professional golfer and have worked with many trained professionals my whole life. Ken and Jason are as good as it gets. We focused on staying healthy while increasing my speed and after my first year I am the strongest and healthiest I have been. Would highly recommend!!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is a great gym, with plenty of room, duplicate cardio and strength training machines, large area with free weights and benches. Large alpha training area with trx kettlebells plyo boxes and much more all with a beautiful rooftop pool. Massage and stretching, sauna and a large cold tub. This is a great facility.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I have been going here for years! Ken and his team of trainers are the best in S Florida. Whether you go here as a Pro Golfer/Tennis player, an Amateur for either, or just trying to improve your self as a person, this is the place to be! You start with a 1 on 1 evaluation with Ken himself, and once you get signed up, you will have personalized programs based on your needs. Throughout these programs, you will have professional guidance on how to get the most of each session. Highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I live close to this gym so I got a membership before it opened. It has become so busy that there is no difference between this and LA or Crunch. I make reservations for classes but not only is the class full and your spot taken when you show up but there isnt enough equipment. After giving up on the class and going to the main gym, the entire open gym is crammed full of ppl. I had to wait for a treadmill. Why make a car payment for the exact same frustration as any other gym? After waiting in a line at customer service to cancel, I had to finally walk out and come here because the employees in nice suits are too busy to talk. It was good when I first started but those days are clearly over. The only open areas are the millions of lounges where you can do anything but workout. ‘Founding’ member out, lol
